INSTALLATION, OPERATING & SAFETY GUIDELINES
BEFORE USE
Please read these guidelines carefully before installing or operating your Chillax’R Wood-Fired Hot Tub.
• The hot tub must be installed outdoors on a firm, level and adequately supported surface.
• Take extra care when installing on grass or gravel, as these surfaces may settle.
• The tub and burner must be positioned on the same level surface.
• Ensure both circulation pipes are correctly aligned, securely connected and free from blockages.
• Never alter or force the angle of the circulation pipes.
• Check that all clamps and connections are securely tightened before filling.
INSTALLATION
-
Position the Tub & Burner
Place the tub and burner on the same firm, level and supported surface. -
Connect the Burner
Connect both stainless-steel pipes from the burner to the tub fittings using the supplied short hoses. Securely tighten both clamps. -
Fit the Ball Valve
Fit the ball valve to the pre-drilled hole at the bottom of the tub. Ensure the valve is securely fitted and CLOSED before filling. -
Fill the Tub Before Lighting
Fill the tub until the water level is above the upper circulation pipe.
IMPORTANT: NEVER LIGHT THE BURNER WITHOUT SUFFICIENT WATER IN THE TUB.
The water must remain above the upper pipe for the entire time the fire is burning or while the burner remains hot.
LIGHTING & HEATING
- Close the ball valve and fill the tub above the upper circulation pipe.
- Place the thermal bubble cover directly onto the water with the bubbles facing down.
- If using the burner without an ash pan, place firelighters and kindling inside, light and allow the kindling to catch before adding larger logs.
- If using an ash pan, light the firelighters in the tray, close it, and add kindling and logs as the fire establishes.
- Add dry wood as required.
- Stir the water every 20–30 minutes to help distribute heat and speed up heating.
- Take care when heating, as very hot water or steam may escape from the upper circulation pipe.
- Once the desired temperature is reached, stop adding wood and allow the fire to go out before entering the tub.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION
• NEVER operate the burner without the tub being filled above the upper circulation pipe.
• NEVER drain the tub while the fire, burner or embers are hot.
• The burner and circulation pipes become extremely hot during use. Keep children, pets and combustible materials well away.
• Never leave a burning fire unattended.
• Never block, restrict or disconnect either circulation pipe while the burner is operating.
• Do not use the hot tub if any pipe is blocked, loose, leaking or damaged.
• Allow the fire, burner and embers to cool completely before draining, cleaning or removing ash.

Pregnant users and anyone with relevant medical conditions should seek medical advice before using a hot tub.
COMMERCIAL & HOLIDAY-LET USE
For commercial or holiday-let installations, operators must complete a site-specific risk assessment and maintain a documented water-management system.
Where applicable, follow the relevant requirements for cleaning, water changes, disinfection and inspection, together with competent advice, suitable records and local authority requirements.
These guidelines do not replace the operator's own water-safety plan.
